What to Expect at NSI

It’s almost time to make your first appearance on the campus of SNU. It is very important to us that your first days on our campus are special ones. We want to welcome you, help you get to know other new students, and help you get to know the many great people that are part of the SNU family.

New Student Institute (NSI) is a required orientation for all new students arriving in January for our spring semester.

1. New On Campus Student Check In is Monday, January 8th from 3pm-5pm. All new students living on campus will check in at the Webster Commons Bldg between 3pm-5pm on Monday. Students can begin moving in to their residence hall right after they check in.

2. Commuter students will check in at the Webster Commons on Tuesday, January 9th between 8:30am-9am.

3. Our first official event will be breakfast on Tuesday morning at 9am followed by a day of getting to know our campus and gaining all the information you need to be successful during your time at SNU.

We are looking forward to welcoming you and getting to know you!

6:30pm: Dinner & Activity for On-Campus Students AM Hills

Tuesday, January 9th
8:30am: Check-in for Commuter Students main floor of Webster Commons
9am: Welcome to NSI @ SNU (Breakfast Provided) President’s Dining Room 3rd Floor Commons
9:30am: Student Life and Christian Formation @ SNU Presidents Dining Room 3rd floor
10:30am: Thriving Academically @ SNU President’s Dining Room 3rd Floor Commons
11:30am: Advising and Transcript Audits 3rd Floor Commons
12:30pm: Lunch with Faculty Advisors President’s Dining Room 3rd floor
1:30pm: Getting Connected @ SNU Various Locations on Campus
3pm: Technology @ SNU President’s Dining Room 3rd Floor Commons
3:30pm: NSI Wrap Up and E-Verification
5pm: Dinner Papa Angelo’s Pizza (optional)

Wednesday, January 10th
12pm: Lunch in the Commons & Class Tour SNU Dining

Thursday, January 11th
5:30pm: Crimson Storm Home Basketball Games (optional)

Friday, January 12th
7pm: The Big Chill sponsored by SALT (optional)
